Happy National Puzzle Day!
January 29th is a special day because it’s National Puzzle Day! Today, I am celebrating with a Springbok Coca-Cola puzzle! Why you might ask? Springbok Hallmark puzzles are what started my obsession with puzzles back in the 1980s! The Hallmark store, which sold the most amazing Springbok puzzles, was in the same shopping center as Wendy’s, where I worked in high school. So on payday, I would walk over to the Hallmark store and see what new puzzles they had. A couple of the first puzzles I bought were Pixel Perfect and Majestic Beauty, both 1000 pieces. My first 2000…
Keep readingLet the Advent Countdown Puzzles Begin!
December 1st marks a special occasion for puzzlers and the Christmas season, it is the start of some fun countdown to Christmas puzzles! Advent calendars have been around for years but the puzzle advent calendar is fairly new, I think. I am not quite sure exactly how this amazing puzzle countdown tradition started, but I am so happy it is now an annual event! In November 2021, Karen Puzzles made an advent calendar from a puzzle she owned and I remember thinking, that is such a fun idea! I first heard of it in Karen’s video, so she might have…
Keep readingAre You Fairy Puzzled?
I am definitely Fairy puzzled! You would be too, if you shopped at the Fairy Puzzled puzzle and a whole lot more store! When I say puzzles and a whole lot more, I mean exactly that! Puzzles, figurines, art prints, tarot cards, clothing, throws, and more! You have to see it to believe it! Rob, the owner, is a puzzle fan and more specifically, a fantasy type of puzzle art fan. Rob stocks a lot of brands that you just can’t find while browsing Amazon or any other puzzle store. He stocks brands I hadn’t even heard of such as…

Laurel wraps each individual puzzle and stamps it with a Disney stamp that corresponds…

This year, 2024, my puzzling has been a bit different than my super fun and busy puzzle year of 2023. I went back to work full-time as a medical coder early in the year. I knew I wouldn’t be able to puzzle full time forever (yet) since we do have a house payment and a high schooler who has some pretty high college aspirations! I will say though, 2023 was a magical break from reading emergency room medical records all day. So, my puzzling went from 20,000 pieces a month to maybe 3000-4000 pieces a month! My oh my, what…
Keep readingThe Year I Puzzled Full Time and Loved It
2023 was the most fun, the most busy, and the most amazing puzzle year I have experienced so far in my entire life! November 2022, I left my job of 10 years as a medical coder to puzzle full time for about six months, which turned out to be a full year! The place I was working at wasn’t a good fit for me any longer and we had no real debt except our house payment, so I made the decision to puzzle full-time and concentrate on YouTube and social media, then I planned to go back to work full…
Keep readingAddicted2Puzzles is Almost 8 Years Old!
I started my YouTube channel, Addicted2Puzzles, on January 1st, 2017! I cannot believe my YouTube channel is almost 8 years old! My very first video was a time lapse video of a Springbok puzzle with a snowman and it was sideways (click here to view my first ever YouTube video!)! And I believe the next few time lapse videos were also sideways. Lol! Not only were they sideways but they were also a bit distorted. They weren’t quite straight or square, they were just a bit off. My videos were posted sporadically, not on any kind of schedule (kind of…
Keep readingFrom Floor Puzzling to a Full Puzzle Room – Table Included!
My puzzle areas have transformed and largely progressed throughout my years of puzzling, thankfully! As a kid, I puzzled on my bedroom floor. I would assume I puzzled on a piece of carboard, or something similiar, since we had shag carpet (it was the 70s afterall!) and it is really hard to puzzle on shag carpet! Lol! When I joined the Army 1990, I only did a few puzzles during the 4 years I served. We had a hutch type shelf thing with a little drop down so we could use it as a writing surface, and I remember putting…
Keep readingThe Early Beginnings of my Puzzle Life
I started puzzling when I was a young kid in the late 1970’s. We didn’t have YouTube and Playstations and all the distractions kids (and adults) have today. I remember doing puzzles, playing cards and board games with my family, and that’s if we weren’t outside riding bikes and skateboards, roller skating, and playing hopscotch. There were a few puzzles that I remember doing with my sisters by Springbok. They were called Puzzle Pastimes. The two we had were Saltine Crackers and Red Licorice and they were really fun and challenging for a kid! I had a lot of cute…
